Its time to Change the Conversation!

A New Time

Nobody is talking about 2016 anymore. There’s no need to. The conversation changed to 2017. Everyone’s focus is on what they can improve on from last year to make it a success. New gym memberships, new diets, A new “me” but, still in the same body. Give it a week or two and we’ll be back to 2016. What exactly needs to change? The conversation. If you want a better health and you’re not talking to an expert on fitness or even about dieting, then that needs to change. You can’t want more customers for your business and aren’t talking to someone who can promote you. Visibility matters. You have possession of the most powerful muscle known to man. The one muscle that you use every day can work for you! Yes, the tongue! The one muscle you don’t need to go to the gym for. It only works for what you are concerned about and what you talk about. Do you want change? You don’t need a resolution. You need to change the conversation.

Picture into the Future

The people you spend your most time around makes up the picture of how you’ll look like. Their traits will eventually rub on to you and make up who you are. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something you want to be concerned about. Companies judge your character because when you work for them, you represent them. There’s been countless of times where I or someone I’m with judges the restaurant by the waitress and the service. The small points matter. With enough small points, you’ll have enough dots to draw up a picture. You probably already pictured how you want to look like, be like, maybe even smells like, in 2017. I’m sure we aren’t all Pablo Picassos. So how do you draw up that picture for yourself or your business you imagined? If I told you just by talking your way to where you want to be, you wouldn’t believe me because no one believes life is just that easy. And you’d be right, it’s not. The talking is. It’s only a start. So why not do it right?

Fear of the Future

People often ask to those who talk the talk if they can walk the walk. They want to know if you’ve put action to your words. For the people that are, they are more than willing to show the proof of the manifestation of their words. For the people who’s been lacking, they get fearful and want to hide. They want to back up and step away. Fear is a sign for you to step up. It’s fight or flight. You either fight through your obstacles or you soar high with achievements. Either way, you will be moved by fear. If you can sing Christmas jingles you might as well sing your goals and move towards the lyrics. If you’re like me, just don’t keep any glass cups around.

Seize the Future

“Most people never pick up the phone and call”. There’s not a better way to start off a New Year than reading a quote from one of the pioneers of our time, Steve Jobs. What he’s saying is exactly right. I know a few people who has some regrets for not telling that special someone maybe a relative or a loved one something that they needed to hear before they passed. For business owners, there will be times where you will need to take the initiative and call. Don’t wait. Talking is how we express ourselves to one another. It’s a form of our communication. But that one video you want to be produced for your website or that one person you want to be hired isn’t going to come because of your lack of communication. People aren’t X-men. Nobody has developed the ability to read minds. The best way to communicate something is to put it in words. Words hold our ideas and thoughts. Ideas spread not because my head accidentally headbutted you, but because I conveyed it to you in a definite shape. Words. Words can do that. Words can bring your goals, imagination, plans, and begin the process of manifestation into its counterpart in reality. So yes, go meet with that gym trainer and tell them you want to lose weight and feel better about yourself so he can tell you how. Go tell that girl you like you want to go on a date with her so you at least know if she likes you. That idea you had, but never gave it thought, you might as well write it down and maybe, just maybe it’ll come alive. But have a conversation with the people who can get you to where you want. Because they will walk the walk with you.
